Post Graduate Work Permit
An international student may be eligible for a post-graduation work permit (PGWP) if they graduated from a designated learning institution (DLI) and want to stay in Canada temporarily to work. The maximum a person can be on a post-graduate work permit is three years, but it depends on the duration of their program. As well, the post graduate work permit will expire at the same time that a passport expires so it’s important to ensure that the passport is valid for the entire time the post graduate work permit is granted.
