Home Caregiver & Support Worker Program

In June 2019, the Federal Government of Canada launched the home caregiver and Home Support Worker Program pilot project. These two economic pilot projects are geared towards foreign national caregivers who have  a qualifying job offer or Canadian work experience for work in an eligible caregiver occupation, and meet the minimum education and language requirements.In-home caregivers who have two years of eligible work experience in Canada can apply to become permanent residents under the Home Child Care Provider and Home Support Worker pilots. It also allows their family members to work or study in Canada while they gain work experience. Please note that caregivers who will work in Quebec are not eligible for the Home Child Care Provider and Home Support Worker pilots.
