Self-Employed Persons Program

The Self-employed Persons Program allows foreign nationals to immigrate to Canada permanently as a self-employed person. To be eligible for this program, the foreign national must have at least two years of relevant experience in cultural activities or athletics, as well as the willingness and ability to contribute significantly to Canada’s cultural or athletic life.

There is a point system in which at the moment, a minimum of 35 points is needed to pass. They look at education, experience, age, language abilities and adaptability.
